​​​​​​​Sundargarh, Oct 15: Veteran leader and former MLA from Bonai Assembly Constituency in Odisha’s Sundargarh, Hemendra Prasad Mahapatra passed away on Wednesday. He was 92.

As per reports, Mahapatra passed away at his residence in Khuntagaon village under Lahunipara block in Sundargarh.

It is worth noting that Mahapatra was elected to the Assembly three times and served as an MLA in 1961, 1967, and 1971. His unwavering dedication to public welfare and significant contributions to the development of his constituency earned him deep respect and a lasting place in the hearts of the people he served.
