New Delhi, January 12: Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader Vijay arrived in New Delhi on a chartered flight from Chennai on Monday to be questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with the ongoing Karur stampede investigation. He went directly to the CBI headquarters, where officials are expected to record his statement.

Vijay is being questioned about his role in the planning, organization, and execution of the political rally in Karur, which turned tragic and resulted in the deaths of 41 people in a stampede. The investigation is focusing on crowd management practices during the event. Authorities are seeking documents related to event permissions, coordination with district officials, and arrangements made with the local police.
