Johannesburg, November 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the G20 Summit in South Africa, emphasized the need to revisit global development parameters, particularly in light of Africa hosting the summit for the first time. He highlighted that India’s principles, especially Integral Humanism, could provide a roadmap for inclusive and sustainable growth.

In his address, PM Modi proposed several initiatives, including the creation of a G20 Global Traditional Knowledge Repository, drawing on India’s rich history to share collective wisdom for better health and well-being. He also suggested a G20-Africa Skills Multiplier Initiative to train one million certified trainers in Africa over the next decade to empower the continent’s youth.

The Prime Minister further called for the establishment of a G20 Global Healthcare Response Team to respond to health emergencies and natural disasters swiftly.

Additionally, he proposed a G20 initiative to combat the drug-terror nexus, specifically addressing the spread of dangerous substances like fentanyl.

PM Modi commended South Africa's leadership and stressed the importance of reconsidering development parameters to ensure sustainable progress that benefits all. He emphasized the need for a harmonious relationship between society, nature, and development, drawing on India’s civilizational values.
