Kanpur, November 12: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday visited the Satya Bharti Elementary School in Khanpur, Ludhiana, an initiative of the Bharti Airtel Foundation and lauded it in helping rural and underprivileged children realise their potential.

The Union Minister also interacted with the students and learn more about their dreams, aspirations and creative solutions to real-world problems.

The Satya Bharti Elementary School in Khanpur is improving accessibility of quality education in rural Ludhiana and also helping rural and underprivileged children realise their potential, Pradhan wrote on X.

The Bharti Airtel Foundation is operating 155 such elementary schools in rural areas across four States in the country.

“Home to over 250+ students, this vibrant learning space in Ludhiana is nurturing creative thinking in young learners by bringing NEP 2020 into practice. It was a delight to interact with students and learn more about their dreams, aspirations and creative solutions to real-world problems,” posted Pradhan.

For the context, with a strong belief that education is critical to empower children, particularly in rural India, Bharti Airtel Foundation launched its flagship Satya Bharti School Program in 2006.

The programme imparts free, quality education to underprivileged children of India, instilling life skills and confidence for holistic development and creating a platform for children to imbue skills and principles that would equip them to make a difference in society.
