Mumbai, Nov 12: Bollywood actor Govinda was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after being admitted due to disorientation and a brief loss of consciousness.

The 60-year-old star was taken to the emergency department following the episode, which occurred just a day after he visited veteran actor Dharmendra, who is currently receiving treatment at Breach Candy Hospital.

Govinda, now recovering, walked out of CritiCare Hospital and interacted with the media waiting outside.

“I’m fine now. I overexerted myself with a heavy workout and felt fatigued. Yoga and pranayama are much better for me — intense exercise can be tough. I’m working on improving myself, but I believe yoga-pranayama suits me best,” he shared.

His lawyer, Lalit Bindal, confirmed that the actor was initially feeling disoriented but is now stable.

“All necessary tests have been completed, and we’re awaiting the neuro consultation report. He’s stable,” Bindal said.

This is the second hospitalisation for Govinda within a year. In October 2024, the actor accidentally sustained a gunshot wound to his knee when his licensed revolver misfired at home, just before he was scheduled to leave for a show in Kolkata.
