​​​​​​​Keonjhar, Oct 3: In a gruesome incident, a man was allegedly hacked to death by miscreants while he was asleep in Ghatagaon area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district last night.

The deceased has been identified as Bhadru Mahakuḍ, and the incident has been reported from Medinipur under Ghatagaon police limits in the district.

According to reports, the assailants allegedly attacked him with a sharp object causing severe injuries on his head. His family members found his blood-soaked body lying in the veranda and informed police.

Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem.

Although the exact motive for the murder remains unclear, the police are actively gathering evidence and working to identify the culprits involved.
