Holidays announced for two days in three districts for cyclone

Bhubaneswar, 7/11: There will be holidays in schools and offices on Friday and Saturday in Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Puri districts in view of the possible cyclonic storm. This has been announced by the state administration today. According to the state disaster management department, rain and storm is likely to occur in coastal Odisha from November 8 evening. The state administration has, therefore. made elaborate preparations to meet the eventuality.. Two Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF) teams one National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team have been sent to the vulnerable areas. As per the latest bulletin of the Indian Meteorology Department, yesterday’s deep depression over east central and adjoining south east Bay of Bengal intensified into a cyclonic storm Bulbul yesterday midnight. It is very likely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm during the next 24 hours.
