Bhubaneswar: Odisha Para athletes Janki Oram and Payal Nag representing the country show their incredible talents but failed to secure medal in the Youth Asian Para Games 2025, held in Dubai from 7 to 14 December 2025.

However, Janki Oram delivered a noteworthy performance in the Long Jump (T12 category), finishing 4th overall in a highly competitive field. She recorded her best jump of 4.57 metres. The event was conducted as a combined T11–T12 category, with final rankings decided under the World Para Athletics (WPA) Raza Points system. Janki narrowly missed the podium, but her effort demonstrated determination, consistency, and strong potential at the Asian level.

In Para Archery, Payal Nag represented India in the Compound U21 Women Open event and secured a 5th-place finish. Competing against top archers from across Asia, her performance reflected confidence, focus, and Odisha’s growing strength in para archery on the international stage.

Although medals eluded the Odisha athletes on this occasion, their participation and performances remain encouraging. The efforts of Janki Oram and Payal Nag highlight Odisha’s continuous progress in para sports and its meaningful contribution to the Indian contingent at the Youth Asian Para Games 2025.
