Berhampur, Mar 5: A tragic road accident occurred near the petrol pump in Digapahandi on Thursday, claiming the life of one person and leaving two others critically injured.

According to reports, a head-on collision between a bike and a scooter led to the accident. The deceased has been identified as Shiva Goud of Gopalpur village under Patpur police station in Sanakhemundi block.

The two injured, Shyam Goud from S. Gopalpur village and Chandra Nayak of Gopinathpur village under K. Nuagaon police station, have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police reached the accident site promptly and have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision.
