Bhubaneswar, November 26: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday emphasized the importance of science and technology in transforming India into a global superpower, urging students to excel in these fields.

Speaking at the SAI-TED 2025 festival at SAI International School, Bhubaneswar, Majhi noted that today's children will shape a prosperous Odisha and India.

He praised the event for including students from both private and government schools, fostering creativity in science. Majhi also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Rs 1 lakh crore Research & Development Fund, aimed at boosting India's research landscape and attracting more students to innovation.

Encouraging young minds to invest in science, Majhi highlighted the wealth of resources available today, including top educators and vast online knowledge.

The event featured notable guests, including Dr. Silpi Sahoo and astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, and served as a platform to inspire future STEM leaders aligned with India’s innovation goals.
