Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: The Odisha government has extended the deadline for completing the Aadhaar-based e-KYC process of ration card holders till December 31, 2025, the Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Department said on Sunday.

The extension aims to give all beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) additional time to complete their e-KYC verification process.

According to the department, the e-KYC process is currently underway across the state and will continue until the new deadline. Beneficiaries who have not yet completed the Aadhaar-based e-KYC are advised to visit their nearest fair price shop (FPS) or Ration Card Management Centre (RCMC) to update their details.

At present, e-KYC services are being carried out at 11,827 fair price shops, 314 block offices, and 64 urban local body offices across Odisha. Officials have urged all eligible beneficiaries to complete the process within the extended period to ensure uninterrupted access to subsidised food grains and other welfare benefits.

The department emphasized that this initiative is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen transparency and efficiency in the Public Distribution System (PDS) through Aadhaar authentication.
