​​​​​​​Ganjam, Jan 25: In an odd incident, piles of vaccines were found dumped on the roadside in the Beleguntha area in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Sunday.

The injection vials were found discarded on the roadside near the Jalakhai area under the Beleguntha block.

It created a massive outrage among the locals as the lots of emergency medicines, dumped by the road had not expired i.e almost 10 months were left for their diposal.

According to the lables of the dumped packs, the lot was reportedly imported from the Globion India Pvt. Ltd, Hyderabad that basically manufactures livestock & pollutry vaccines.

As the vials’ labels had no price tags, the lots are believed to be government supply medicines.

On being informed from the locals, Bhanjanagar Sub-Collector Umashankar Behera has ordered a probe into the matter.

The probe report will ascertain who disposed the vials on roadside and for why.
