Cuttack, Dec 21: Sephali Suna, mother of late Ollywood playback singer Humane Sagar, on Sunday lodged a written complaint at the Markat Nagar Police Station in Cuttack, seeking a comprehensive probe into the circumstances surrounding her son’s death.

In her complaint, Suna described the death as suspicious and urged the police to carry out a thorough investigation to rule out any possibility of foul play. She appealed for all aspects of the case to be examined and for action to be taken against anyone found responsible, directly or indirectly, in accordance with the law.

Humane Sagar passed away on November 17 at the age of 36 while undergoing treatment for multiple health complications at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. His untimely death sent shockwaves across the state, leaving fans and members of the music fraternity in deep mourning.

According to the complaint, the circumstances leading to the singer’s death have raised serious concerns within the family. Suna has sought an inquiry into possible angles including foul play.

She has also requested the police to question several individuals who were closely associated with her son over the past three to four years, naming them in the complaint.

Earlier, a cultural organisation had lodged a separate complaint at the Balangir Town Police Station against Humane Sagar’s managers, Dinesh Behera alias Papu and Prashant Behera. They accused the duo of negligence, harassment, and alleged involvement in a suspected conspiracy. The complainants further alleged that the managers misbehaved with the singer’s mother and ignored her request to shift Humane Sagar to a higher medical facility for advanced treatment.
