New Delhi, Oct 17: Comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant- Kaps Café, at Surrey, Canada, has been targeted by gunfire for the third time in just four months. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the latest incident, although the property sustained visible damage.
Authorities confirmed that multiple shots were fired at the restaurant, adding to an alarming pattern of violent incidents surrounding the popular eatery, which only opened in July this year. The repeated attacks have raised significant safety concerns among local residents and global fans of Kapil Sharma.
Reports indicate that gangsters Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu, allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi criminal network, have claimed responsibility for the shootings. In a social media post, Goldy Dhillon stated, “I, Goldy Dhillon, take responsibility for the three shootings that took place at Kaps Caffe. We have no enmity with the general public.”
Dhillon further warned people to avoid the restaurant, adding that Kapil Sharma had been contacted prior to the attack but “didn’t hear the ring.” The post ended with a chilling threat: “If he still doesn’t hear the ring, the next action will be conducted in Mumbai.”
The latest shooting marks the third such attack, with the first incident occurring on July 10, while staff members were inside, and the second on August 8, during which at least 25 rounds were fired. The series of attacks continues to fuel fears over the comedian’s safety and the security of his business.
