Covid-19 death toll rises to 42 in Odisha with four new deaths

Bhubaneswar, July 7: Four more persons succumbed to Covid-19 taking to the death toll to 42 in the state. The deaths have been reported from Ganjam and Cuttack districts. According to Health and Family Welfare department, two men, aged 70 and 60 from Ganjam district lost their lives during treatment. They were also suffering from diabetes. Another 53-year-old man of the district died of Covid-19. Similarly, a 48-year-old man from Cuttack district, who was also suffering from chronic liver disease and diabetes, succumbed to Covid-19. As many as 571 persons tested positive for Covid-19 on July 6 in Odisha. While 403 cases were reported from quarantine centres across the state, 168 cases were local. The number of Covid-19 positive cases reached 10,097 in the state with detection of the new cases. wp:html /
