Security alert as passenger slips into Delhi unnoticed.

A major security lapse has been reported at New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport after a British national managed to evade highly secure immigration checks and slip into the national capital unnoticed. The passenger, identified as Fitz Patrick, has been untraceable since the incident occurred on the morning of October 29.

According to details shared by airport officials, Patrick initially landed in Delhi on October 28 at around 12 pm, arriving from Bangkok aboard Air India flight AI 333. He was reportedly a transit passenger scheduled to board a connecting Air India flight (AI 117) to London at 2:10 pm that same afternoon. However, he missed this connection and remained stranded in the international transfer area overnight.

The alarming Delhi airport security breach was only discovered the following morning when airline staff realized the passenger was unaccounted for. A frantic review of security camera footage revealed a shocking sequence of events. Around 7:30 am on October 29, Patrick was seen on CCTV climbing over an e-visa immigration counter. He successfully exited the terminal through arrival gate number four without being stopped by on-duty personnel.

Further footage reportedly tracked him heading towards the city side of the airport, where he boarded an Air India SATS staff ferry bus to complete his escape from the high-security zone.

Usually, international transfer passengers are restricted to specific zones. By scaling the counter, Patrick bypassed mandatory immigration clearance required for anyone entering Indian soil.

A massive search operation is now underway, involving multiple agencies including the Delhi Police, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and the Bureau of Immigration. More than a week after the IGI Airport immigration escape, his whereabouts remain unknown. Authorities have not yet clarified if he possessed a valid visa for India or if his luggage has been retrieved from the airport.
