Bhubaneswar: The uncertainty over the home venue for Odisha FC, which has previously played its matches at the Kalinga Stadium here. The Odisha Government reconsidered the Odisha Fc’s proposal and provided the infrastructural facilities at Kalinga Stadium as the home ground of the team for the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) 2026 matches.

The Odisha FC previously had a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Odisha to use the Kalinga Stadium as its home base. However, the contract expired last year.

The Odisha FC’s inaugural match against Punjab FC, which was scheduled to be held on 16th February postpone due to the lack of home ground. If the postponement is confirmed, the match is likely to be rescheduled for May 11. Although an official announcement is still awaited.

Odisha FC will start its home campaign against Inter Kashi on 24th February 2026 here at Kalinga Stadium. In other home matches, Odisha FC will face Chennaiyin FC, defending champion Mohun Bagan SG and Mohammedan Sporting on March 1, March 6 and April 17 respectively.

The Indian Super League (ISL) gets underway at last after a five-month delay in which the group came on the brink of a complete collapse. A total of 14 teams will compete in the 12th edition of India’s top-tier football league. As per the ISL 2026 schedule, the league stage will feature 91 matches played in a home-and-away format.
