Lucknow prepares for grand opening of Rashtra Prerna Sthal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Lucknow is gearing up for a massive cultural and national landmark. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently conducted a thorough review of the final preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit on December 25. During this visit, the Prime Minister will officially open the Rashtra Prerna Sthal, a project designed to celebrate India’s heritage and its iconic leaders.

This grand project is being dedicated to the country on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. According to CM Yogi, the site is much more than just a park; it is a powerful symbol of national consciousness and pride. The Chief Minister believes that the values of national unity and "Atmanirbhar Bharat" will be passed down to future generations through this site.

The Rashtra Prerna Sthal is an expansive 65-acre development built with an investment of approximately Rs 230 crore. The highlight of the venue is the presence of three massive 65-foot-tall bronze statues. these statues depict legendary figures: Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Beyond the statues, the facility is packed with modern amenities. It features a state-of-the-art museum documenting the lives of these national heroes, a large amphitheater, a meditation center, and a dedicated yoga space. To handle the massive crowds—estimated at nearly two lakh people—the site includes a large rally ground and extensive parking zones.

During his inspection, CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that there is no room for error. He instructed officials to finalize the landscaping and beautification of the surrounding roads immediately. Security will be exceptionally tight, with multi-layered arrangements protecting the VVIP routes and the main venue. Clear signage and well-managed transport routes are being put in place to ensure that the public can access the event without any hassle. This landmark is expected to become a major hub for visitors from across the country, including many from states like Odisha who hold Atal Ji’s legacy in high regard.
