​​​​​​​Puri, Jan 18: The parking fee for 4-wheelers for the checked-in devotees and visitors at the Bhakta Niwas in Puri is Rs 240 per vehicle, decided the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).

In a significant meeting headed by the SJTA Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee, the parking fee of worth Rs 500 per vehicle, was reduced after consideration.

Earlier, a decision to charge Rs 500 per day for a parking had drawn strong public criticism. Following the development, the management committee revised the fee and fixed it at Rs 240 per day.

"It was earlier decided to charge Rs 500 for parking four-wheelers at the four Bhakta Nivas in Puri. In the management committee meeting held today that has been reduced to Rs 240", said SJTA Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee.

Worth mentioning, a massive public outrage was sounded among visitors and devotees over the excessive parking fees at the Puri Bhakta Niwas @ Rs 500 a vehicle, that’s addressed today.
