Bhubaneswar, October 16: A Note-Coin Exchange Mela was organized at Bapuji Nagar, Bhubaneswar, on Thursday. The event was facilitated by the Reserve Bank of India in collaboration with Axis Bank's Currency Chest at the Bapuji Nagar branch.

The mela witnessed a large turnout, with hundreds of vegetable vendors and local businessmen exchanging their notes and coins. Key figures involved in the event included Alok Ranjan Ranarahu, DGM of RBI; Manoranjan Pati, Senior Vice President of Axis Bank; Sujit Narayan Sarangi, Head of Currency Chest at Axis Bank; and Shradharani Samal, Branch Head of the Bapuji Nagar branch of Axis Bank. Together, they ensured the smooth exchange of currency and coins, providing much-needed support to the vendors and businessmen.

Kabiraj Swain, President of Unit-I Hata, also played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the mela by offering valuable assistance.

The exchange event was particularly appreciated as coin availability has been a challenge in the market. Both the vegetable vendors and businessmen expressed their satisfaction with the exchange process, which helped address their currency-related issues.
