Simulia, Dec 26: Odisha Vigilance has launched simultaneous house searches against Niranjan Satapathy, a Forester in the Forest Division of Koraput, on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets.

The searches are being carried out by a team led by 6 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 7 Inspectors, and other staff members, based on search warrants issued by the Hon'ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

The raids are being carried out at five locations across Bhubaneswar, Jagatsinghpur, and Koraput districts, which include:

· A triple-storeyed building at Jharpada, Bhubaneswar (Plot No. 408/2390/6388).

· Another triple-storeyed building at Jharpada, Bhubaneswar (Plot No. 408/2390/6274).

· His parental house at Bila, Mukundapur in Jagatsinghpur district.

· His Government quarter at Semiluguda under the Forest Division, Koraput.

· His office room at Semiluguda, Koraput.

The searches are underway, and further details will follow as the investigation progresses.
