Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: While marital or spousal rape, without a woman’s consent is considered a sexual abuse, a live-in male partner in Bhubaneswar has landed in soup, for allegedly having forceful sex with his live-in partner.
Such an odd complaint has been registered with the Laxmisagar Police in Odisha’s Capital City Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.
Acting on it, the Laxmisagar Police has taken a youth identified as Bipin Sabat to custody and the victim for medical examinations.
According to report, Sabat with his live-in partner was living happily in the Budhanagar area of the city. Meanwhile, the woman moved Laxmisagar Police Station and lodged a written complaint, wherein she alleged that Bipin Sabat kept physical relationship with her against her will.
Based on the allegations, the Laxmisagar police registered a case and arrested Sabat after recording the victim’s statement.
