Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: The preparations for the Yajna at Khandagiri are in full swing, with the construction of the sacred spot for performing the yajna.

The saints have started arriving, and the area around Maa Barabhuja Temple and the roads leading to Debasabha and the hilltop are being readied for the sacred event. Water connections have been laid, ensuring smooth operations for drinking water. The ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) has worked hard to bring water to the temple, which had been lacking for years. This will certainly bring joy to the saints who have been praying for this provision.

The event will be marked by the Khandagiri Mela, which is scheduled to take place in the next three days. Preparations are being made at various locations, including the OTDC (Odisha Tourism Development Corporation) rest areas near Khandagiri and Udayagiri hills. Temporary sanitation and cleaning work has been carried out by the BMC (Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation).

The officials involved in the preparations have assured that everything will be in place before the event. The authorities have planned to strengthen the security arrangements and have provided light installations at key spots. As many as 10 saints from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand are expected to arrive by Tuesday to take part in the celebrations.

However, the arrangements for temporary accommodation for the saints are still pending, and the committee has requested that this issue be expedited. They have also urged the BMC to arrange lighting and security measures to ensure the safety of the Sadhus and devotees.

As the Yajna preparations continue, the authorities are keen to ensure that everything proceeds smoothly and according to plan.
