Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: More than 4.57 lakh beneficiaries across Odisha received financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana, with the state government disbursing a total of over Rs 315 crore. The funds were transferred directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts through the direct benefit transfer (DBT) mechanism.

The formal disbursal ceremony took place at a state-level event held at the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) campus in Bhubaneswar, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presided over the distribution at 11 am.

The latest disbursement under Subhadra Yojana included both newly enrolled beneficiaries and those who had previously been excluded from receiving the aid. A total of 1,78,398 newly added women beneficiaries received their first instalment, officially marking their inclusion in the welfare scheme.

Additionally, 2,55,265 beneficiaries who had missed out on the first and second instalments were also credited with their due assistance as part of this disbursement.

The Subhadra Yojana continues to expand its reach, ensuring financial support for vulnerable groups, particularly women, across the state.
