Bhubaneswar, March 7: Odisha's Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra assured the citizens on Saturday that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel in the state.

He urged people not to panic over false reports circulating in the media.

The minister confirmed that fuel stocks are sufficient across petrol pumps and that global tensions would not immediately affect fuel supplies in Odisha.

He dismissed rumors about shortages, calling them baseless and urged consumers to continue their regular fuel purchases.

Patra warned against hoarding or black marketing and assured strict action against such activities.

He also emphasized that essential commodities, including rice, are well-stocked in the state.

Both Bharat Petroleum and Indian Oil Corporation have also dismissed the rumors, confirming that India's fuel supply is stable and resilient, with no shortages expected.

They urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate information.
