Bhubaneswar: Vijeta V of Jharkhand emerged champion in both Girls’s U-16 singles and doubles categories of the Major Sandeep Mohapatra Memorial KDTA AITA-OTA Championship series (CS7) U14 and U16 Tennis Tournament from 3-7 November at Kalinga Stadium Tennis Complex here, being organised by Khordha District Tennis Association with the support of Odisha Tennis Association (OTA).

Altogether 60 players from 09 states (West Bengal, Chhattisgarh , Karnataka ,Telangana , Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Manipur, Kerala, and host Odisha) participated in the five day championships. The winner & runners up of this tournament will get 25 & 20 AITA ranking points respectively.

Asit Pradhan Secretary, KDTA, Damodar Pradhani Working President .KDTA, Rajesh Kanungo Tournament Director, Jatin Batsya Tournament Referee and Prakash Patnaik Manager, KDTA.

Results: In Boys U14 Singles final: Suyash Patnaik (OD) defeated Saphal Aagman (JH) by 6-2,3-6,6-2

In Girls U14 Singles final: Mihika Roy (WB) defeated Sanvee Basu (WB) by 0-6,6-3,6-4

In Boys U16 Singles final: Rishik K (TS) defeated Ayush Pattanaik (OD) by 6-2,7-6(3)

In Girls U16 Singles final: Vijeta V (JH) defeated Sanvee Basu (WB) by 6-2,6-3

In Boys U16 Doubles final: Ayush Pattanaik (OD) and his partner Suyash Patnaik (OD) defeated Shreyan Patnaik (OD) & Saphal Aagman (JH) by 6-1,7-5

In Girls U16 Doubles final: Vijeta V (JH) and her partner Ridhima Mullick (WB) defeated Mihika Roy (WB) & Harshini Ethiraj (KL) by 6-2,6-2.
