Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: Odisha is experiencing a gradual increase in daytime temperatures, while night temperatures are expected to remain stable over the next 4–5 days. Residents may feel warm during the day, but nights will stay relatively cool.

On Tuesday, 19 locations recorded maximum temperatures above 30°C, with eight cities crossing 31°C. Jharsuguda recorded the highest at 32.5°C, followed by Sambalpur at 31.7°C, Bhubaneswar 31.6°C, Bhadrak 31.5°C, Sundargarh 31.4°C, Angul 31.1°C, Titilagarh 31°C, and Paralakhemundi 31°C.

Minimum temperatures on Monday night were 4.3°C in G. Udayagiri, 6.6°C in Similiguda, 7.8°C in Phulbani, 9.5°C in Nabarangpur, and 10°C in Bhawanipatna. Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded slightly below-normal night temperatures at 11.8°C and 12.7°C respectively.

The Eastern Region Forecasting Center has said the temperature pattern is likely to continue in the coming days. Some districts may also experience moderate fog during early mornings.
