Bhubaneswar, Feb 24: In a shocking development, the Lingipur Supermarket in Bhubaneswar has been declared unsafe following a major fire that broke out 13 hours ago. The Odisha Fire Services have issued a safety warning for the entire building, urging all fire personnel to immediately vacate the premises.

The fire, which started in the building, has escalated rapidly despite the use of advanced firefighting technologies. Fire engines, equipped with over 40,000 liters of water, have been working non-stop to douse the flames, but the intense heat has hindered their efforts. Firefighters have been unable to bring the fire under control, and a thick layer of smoke is still billowing from the building.

As of now, approximately 600,000 liters of water have been sprayed to douse the fire, but the blaze remains stubborn. There are reports that flammable materials in the building have caused the fire to spread uncontrollably, further complicating the situation.

Firefighters are continuing their efforts, but the structural integrity of the building is under serious threat. The building, which houses a variety of combustible materials, is at risk of collapsing at any moment, leading to a declaration of the building as unsafe. Authorities have directed all personnel inside the building to evacuate immediately.

Despite the ongoing firefighting efforts, the situation remains critical, and authorities have raised concerns over the possibility of the building collapsing, urging citizens and workers to stay clear of the area until the fire is completely extinguished.
