Hyderabad, Dec 20: Veteran Malayalam actor, screenwriter, director, and producer Srinivasan passed away at the age of 69 on Saturday, December 20. He breathed his last at a hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment for the past few days following prolonged illness. His demise has come as a shock to the film fraternity and his fans.

Srinivasan’s sudden death has left his family, friends, and admirers in deep grief. Tributes have been pouring in from across the Malayalam film industry. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran expressed his condolences through an Instagram story, describing Srinivasan as “a great writer, director, and actor.”

A towering figure in Malayalam cinema, Srinivasan enjoyed a career spanning nearly five decades. He acted in more than 200 films and was widely appreciated for his realistic and heartfelt portrayals of everyday characters. His performances were known for their authenticity and emotional depth, resonating strongly with audiences.
