Bhubaneswar, Jan 15: The much-anticipated Odia movie “Chakranta” is set for release on 23rd January, introducing Shubhasish and Bhumika as the lead hero and heroine for the first time.

Produced by Saurabh Padhy under the Lakshewara Production banner and directed by Pinu Nayak, the film delves into contemporary social issues. It tells the story of young men and women who leave their families for education or employment but often lose sight of their true goals, getting caught in the “chakranta” (vicious cycle) of life. The narrative explores whether they can recognize their mistakes and ultimately find a way out.

The film, described as a complete entertainment package, combines elements of mystery and romance, and the producers are optimistic it will appeal to audiences of all age groups.

The ensemble cast includes Harihar Mahapatra, Chaudhury Jayaprakash Das, Pradyumna Lenka, Dharitri Khandual, Surabhi, Soumya Satapathy, Shubham Padhy, Soumya Suman Mohanty, Nirua, and Ishwar Prasad Padhy, with guest appearances by Ashrumochan Mohanty. Sthita Pattnaik is in charge of promotion and publicity.
