​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: The all-format singer and mesmerizing maestro, Abhijit Majumdar is no more.

He turned silent for ever in the AIIMS Hospital Bhubaneswar after a longish treatment in the national healthcare institute this morning.

With his tragic end of the Ollywood hit machine, the Ollywood fraternity, has lost one of the sweetest instruments of the Odia Cine industries who had largely contributed to as many as 60 movies along with at least 700 hit album songs, that almost get reverberated across the nation so far.

With the great loss of the Odia film industry, the fraternities lament in tune with emotional dirge & requiem in favor of the departed soul of Abhijit Majumdar.

The sole creater of ‘Puni Dekha Heba Ara Janamare’, Abhijit Majumdar is now a legend.

His philosophical song relating love & romance, namely ‘Puni Dekha Heba Ara Janamare’, was once upon a time, a social rhythm among the youths especially the love birds. The song then clichéd a nationwide fame as it emerged as a mass song in social functions, college stages, for its emotional touch.

‘Puni Dekha Heba Ara Janamare’ that literally means will meet again in the next birth, has now come true for the ace lyricist Majumdar, as he passed away today at 54, leaving tens of thousands of fans in profound grief and amid tears.

Now, his fans would have to eagerly wait for the rebirth of Majumdar, to listen his sweet words and enegetic gestures on Orchestra stages.

"Puni Dekha Heba Ara Janamare" is an Odia movie soundtrack (also released as an album) composed by Abhijit Majumdar with lyrics by Nizam, featuring romantic tracks like "Basi Basi Bhabuchi" and "Mo Khola Jharaka".
