Mumbai, November 10: Veteran actor Dharmendra is on the road to recovery, says his son Sunny Deol’s team, after rumors about the actor’s health surfaced following his recent hospitalization. Dharmendra, 89, was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai in late October, sparking a flurry of conflicting reports regarding his condition.

Initial reports from mainstream outlets suggested that the hospitalization was merely for a routine check-up as the beloved actor nears his 90th birthday. Family members and hospital representatives reassured the public that there was no cause for concern and that the admission was precautionary. However, rumors quickly spread that Dharmendra had been moved to the intensive care unit due to breathlessness, with some stories claiming he had been placed on ventilator support.

Sunny Deol’s team stated to set the record straight: “This is just rumor-mongering, as always. Sir is getting better and is currently under observation. There’s nothing to worry about.”

Dharmendra, widely known for his iconic roles in films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Satyakam, Seeta Aur Geeta, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Dream Girl, continues to win the hearts of his fans. His most recent film appearance was in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani (2023), where he left a lasting impression with his memorable role.

Looking ahead, the legendary actor will be seen in Ikkis, a war drama directed by Sriram Raghavan, and Maine Pyaar Kiya Phir Se, where he will reunite with actor Arbaaz Khan.

On October 31, Dharmendra was once again admitted to the hospital for a routine check-up. His team clarified to Hindustan Times: “There is absolutely no cause for concern. He is in good health and regularly visits the hospital for medical tests. Someone must have spotted him during one such visit, which led to unnecessary panic among fans. But rest assured, he’s doing perfectly fine.”
