Raipur, Nov 19: At least 7 Maoists were gunned down by security forces in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday during a fierce encounter, took place in the morning.

Intelligence Additional Director General (ADG) Mahesh Chandra Laddha briefed pressers that another encounter took place today between security forces and Maoists along the Andhra–Odisha border (AOB).

Initial inputs indicate that at least seven Maoists were killed in the exchange of fire, he added.

However, through press message, the ADG urged the remaining cadres to surrender, to evade drastic elimination.

Worth mentioning, notorious Mao-cadre Hidima and his partner, was knelt down by the security forces yesterday during a violent gun-fight, firstly opened by the red-militants.
