Bhubaneswar, Mar 10: In a decisive move, the Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department has instructed officials to expedite ongoing inquiries against officers of the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) and Odisha Revenue Service (ORS).

The department has set a strict deadline, directing that all pending inquiry reports must be submitted by March 31.

According to official sources, the department expressed concern over delays in completing investigations against the concerned officers. In its recent directive, it stressed that the inquiry process should be concluded promptly and all pending reports filed without further delay.

The order also warned that strict action would be taken against officials who fail to comply. “Negligence or unnecessary delay in submitting investigation reports will not be tolerated,” the department emphasised.

Previously, inquiry officers had been instructed to complete investigations and submit reports within 90 days. However, several inquiries remain pending, prompting the department to intervene and issue fresh instructions to ensure timely completion.
