Youth stabbed by rival in Bhubaneswar over triangular love

Bhubaneswar, Jan 28: A youth has been stabbed by his rival over a triangular love affair at Sailashree Vihar in Bhubaneswar on Friday evening. The victim is Priyaranjan, an engineering student who is a native of Puri. While the accused has been identified as Gourishankar Lenka of the Naugaon area in Jagatsinghpur. Sources said Gourishankar was a love affair with a girl. However, Priyaranjan developed intimacy with the same girl. Aggrieved over it, Gourishankar stabbed Priyaranjan at Sailashree Vihar today. Priyaranjan sustained critical injuries, who was immediately rushed to a private hospital for resuscitation. Being informed, Chandrasekharpur police rushed to the spot and nabbed the accused. The accused has been detained and undergoing interrogation. He will be forwarded after the complaint of the victim is registered, said police.
