Jharsuguda, Sept 28: In a tragic incident, a youth and his sister died in Jharsuguda on Wednesday after a truck hit their bike. An infant has also been critical in the mishap which took place at the Basanta Vihar Square under the Badmal police limit in the afternoon. The deceased are Rupesh Sahu and his sister Anjali, native of Chhualiberna village. Sources said that Rupesh, Anjali and her 4-month old daughter were coming to their village on a bike. Meanwhile, a trailer hit the bike from the front. Following this, the trio were thrown a few meters away on the road. Rupesh and Anjali died on the spot whereas the girl child was rescued from the spot in a critical condition. A case has been registered in this connection. The bodies have been recovered and sent for postmortem, said the Badmal police.
