Youth ends life after losing lakhs through online games in Jagatsinghpur

Jagatsinghpur, July 04: In a tragic incident, a youth has ended his life after losing lakhs of money through online games in Bhuasuni village under Balikuda police limits in Jagatsinghpur district. The deceased youth has been identified as Debendra Parida, son of Bhagaban Parida of the same village. According to reports, Devendra was doing the business of crops. Recently, he had received around Rs three lakh from his business. However, Devendra was addicted to online games and unfortunately, he lost more than Rs 2 lakh through the online game. Following the loss, he was depressed and abused by family members. It has been suspected that he might have committed suicide after losing the money. Police have seized his body from the crematory and sent it for autopsy.
