​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Sept 3: A youth died under mysterious circumstances at a de-addiction centre in Bharatpur area of Bhubaneswar last night.

The deceased has been identified as Suryakant Mohapatra, a resident of Singhanathpur under Banki police limits in Cuttack.

According to reports, Suryakant was admitted to the de-addiction centre on August 29. However, the centre’s authorities informed his family that he died by suicide last night.

However, Suryakant’s family contested this claim, alleging that he was murdered. They have called for a thorough investigation into the incident and demanded strict action against those responsible.

Upon getting the information, Bharatpur police arrived at the scene and seized the body for post-mortem.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
