Balasore, Aug 18: In a tragic incident, a 24-year-old youth reportedly died of electrocution in Bahanaga block of Odisha’s Balasore district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Satyajit Pradhan and the incident has been reported from Chak Jagannathpur panchayat under Khantapada police limits in Bahanaga.
As per reports, Satyajit was working on an electric board at his home when he accidentally came in contact with a live wire and collapsed on the spot. His family rushed him to the Khantapada Community Healthcare Centre (CHC) in a critical condition, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Upon getting the information, Khantapada police arrived at the spot and seized the body. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem examination to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
