Bhubaneswar, May 26: A young woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances at her rented accommodation in the state capital on Tuesday morning, prompting an investigation by the Commissionerate Police. The deceased has been identified as Goldy, also known as Manisha, who was working in the Sahid Nagar area.

Police suspect it to be a case of suicide, though the exact circumstances behind the death are yet to be established. A scientific team, along with police officials, visited the rented house and launched an investigation. Manisha’s mobile phone has been seized and her call records are likely to be examined as part of the probe.

According to sources, Manisha was highly educated and had completed an MBA degree. She had previously worked in the human resources departments of several private companies and had recently quit her job. She was reportedly planning to start her own business venture.

Police are investigating all possible angles to ascertain the reason behind her death and whether anyone else was involved. Officials said the exact cause of death would be confirmed after the postmortem examination and completion of the preliminary investigation.
