World Suicide Prevention Day: IMS and SUM Hospital doctors campaign on wheels

Bhubaneswar, Sept 13: Institute of Medical Science (IMS) and SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar has undertaken a number of sensitization programmes on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day. A team of doctors under the aegis of the Mental Health Department of the IMS & SUM Hospital, carried on a drive against suicide on September 10. A panel of doctors led by Mental Health Department Professor, Doctor Subhendu Narayan Mishra , including Associate Professor Gastroenterology, Doctor Jimmy Narayan and Assistant Professor, ENT Doctor Bulu Nahak took up a 60-Kilometre bicycle campaign up to Konark and created mass awareness against the critical decision. During their journey, they explained the value of life and art of living with ease, adopting normal adjustment mechanisms to the youth communities.
