Odisha: WCD Dept helpline to keep vigil on domestic crime

Bhubaneswar, May 30: The Women and Child Development Department has formed one-stop help desk to track domestic crime on women and children amid the lockdown. A helpline and a WhatsApp number have been issued in this connection to inform the authority seeking assistance. Accordingly, the victims can dial 181, 100 and 1098 to complain against crime against them. Similarly, they can lodge their grievances through the WhatsApp no 7805006039. Apart from it, women facing cruelity within family can put forth their inconvenience at the ‘Sakhi’ helpdesk at the district headquarters. Even, they can directly complain the State Women Commission dialing 8763543013. Similarly, public can inform on the orphans or Covid distressed children to the childline for immediate rehabilitation. Notably, this is a preventive measure of the concerned department to curb domestic crime on women and children amid the lockdown.
