Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: A woman from Odisha’s Ganjam district is mobilizing financial aid to save the life of his son who is suffering from liver dysfunction.

The woman who belongs to Budhamba village under Kabisuryanagar block has sought government assistance and private donations for his son’s liver transplant.

Sources said, Wasim Akram Khan(21) lost his liver after he suffered from Hepatitis B. He is now struggling with his life in a private hospital. According to the treating doctors, Akram’s life can be saved if his liver is transplanted.

However, affording over Rs 30 lakh for the organ transplantation is beyond the capacity of the poor parents. As a result Akram’s mother has sought government assistance and public donations to save his son’s life.

Ventilating her sorrows and sufferings on social media, she is collecting alms to see his tender son alive.
