Woman lodges complaint against husband for hiding HIV positive status

Bengaluru, Jan 14: A woman in Karnataka has lodged a complaint against her husband for hiding his HIV-positive status from her. The woman has filed the complaint with the Basavanagudi Woman’s Police Station. The woman told police that her husband had not disclosed about his HIV status before marriage. Later, she too tested positive for the virus. Based on the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against the 35-year-old engineer residing in Basavanagudi. According to police, the accused working at a reputed company married the victim — an accountant in a private firm — on March 12, 2018. Upon returning from honeymoon, he started harassing her for dowry.
