Berhampur, Aug 8: In a tragic incident, a woman lost her life after being attacked by a swarm of bees in Belaguntha area of Odisha’s Ganjam district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Jhunu Pal, a resident of Gopinathsahi area under Belaguntha police limits in the district.
According to reports, the incident occurred while she was plucking flowers near her house. Suddenly, a large number of bees emerged and attacked her. Jhunu collapsed on the spot after sustaining multiple stings.
Thereafter, she was rushed her to a nearby hospital. However, she was later shifted to Bhanjanagar Hospital as her health condition deteriorated. Despite the doctors’ efforts, she succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.
