<strong>Woman intercepts necklace snatcher in Balasore</strong>

Balasore, June 22: A woman has reportedly intercepted a necklace snatcher red-handed in Balasore. The incident came to the fore at Tekachandanpur village under the Simulia police limit on Wednesday. The looter, identified as Ashok Das was later handed over to the police. Sources said that, one Bhanumati Tihadi of the Chandanpur village was coming back her home after purchasing some home needs from the village shop. Meanwhile, Ashok snatched her necklace and decamped from the spot on a scooter. Following this,Bhanumati chased the scooter and caught hold of the looter within a few meters. Subsequently, he was handed over to the police by the locals. A case has been registered in this connection. Investigation is underway to cross check the involvements of the accused in other snatching cases, said the IO.
