Khordha, Aug 12:A woman forester has leveled harassment charges against the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Chilika Wildlife and Balugaon Range Officer on Wednesday. The Forester of Nuapada section Nursery Subhasmita Dash has submitted a complaint with the Regional Chief Conservator of Forest (RCCF) in this connection. According to the complaint, Subhasmita was in the charge of Nuapada nursery. Meanwhile, a fund worth Rs 4,90,534 was mobilized for poly packs and irrigation for growing saplings. However, the In-charge DFO Sharat Chandra Mishra allegedly made false bills and vouchers with the help of forest guard Anil Sahu and Balugaon Range Officer Pramod Kumar Panda. However, Subhasmita openly opposed such irregularity and denied producing false bills. Being aggrieved over it, the DFO and the Range Officer tortured Subhasmita both physically and mentally. Acting on the complaint, the RCCF deputed a woman Forest Officer to investigate the matter.
