Woman cop hurt during bid to resolve marital discord

Anandapur, Jan 24: A police team, which had visited Padanpur village under Ghasipura police station of Keonjhar district in a bid to resolve the marital discord, was attacked. Sub inspector Anuradha Sethi was injured in the attack. A police case was registered against a youth for punching a blow to SI Sethi's nose. The accused will be arrested soon, said Anandapur sub divisional police officer. {"id":24937,"sizeSlug":"large"} According to reports, there was a heated exchange between family members of Kamalochan Rout of Padanpur village and Bilas Beura of Sukinda village of Jajpur district over a family feud between Padmalochan and his wife Padmini, daughter of Bilas Beura yesterday. On being informed, a police team reached the village and rescued the parental family members of Padmini. A youth at that time attacked the police team. He gave a blow on the nose of the police sub inspector Anuradha Sethi. However, both the husband and wife blamed each other for the incident. Both the sides have filed complaints against each other in the police station.
