Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: The body of a woman police constable was discovered hanging from a tree near Nuapada railway station in Odisha, officials confirmed on Sunday.

Locals spotted the body on Saturday and immediately alerted police, who recovered it and sent it for a post-mortem.

Following a preliminary investigation, the constable’s husband and mother-in-law were taken into custody on charges of abetment to suicide, police said.
