Woman and paramour detained for killing husband in Angul

Athamalik, Apr 27: The Athamalik police has detained woman and her paramour for allegedly killing her husband at Karadasing village in Angul district last night, police said today. According to the reports, Manas Behera’s wife Saraswati Behera had an illicit affair with Gobardhan Mirdha of the same village. Last night, a spat broke out between the couple in this regard following which Saraswati killed Manas with the help of Gobardhan, alleged the brother of the deceased. Later, basing on the complaint filed by the deceased brother, the police has detained Manasi and Gobardhan for further investigation. The real reason behind Manas’s death can be only ascertained after the post-mortem reports are out and we are interrogating the two detainees for more information, said an official.
